Well yet again I've been a terrible blogger! I hate to leave you with just this rather crappy collage but I WILL be taking some outfit posts this weekend which will be up soon. University is taking over my life even more so *cries* but I am really enjoying it so it is definitely worth it. I just thought I'd show you a few bits and bobs I've picked up these past couple of months ready for the winter! I am sure that some of these clothes will make an appearance in my blog sooner or later, especially the leather skirt as I am a little bit in love with it! I'll keep it short and sweet as this weekend I AM going to be a good blogger!

A little catch up.

As I mentioned in my previous post I moved to University last month and obviously it has taken up a lot of my time recently. I thought I'd do a little 'catch up' post so you know what has been going on this past month or so, I always enjoy reading a personal post every now and again (I'm a huge nosey parker). Anyway I moved to Sunderland to study Law and I'm loving it! It has included a lot of socialising and making new friends, a lot of alcohol and A LOT of food. If you're wanting more information then if you follow me on instagram (bbowerx) I've pretty much documented my time so far. Hopefully blog posts should be pretty regular from now on as I'm swapping my laptop for my brothers which fingers crossed will connect to the internet!

Boohoo Wishlist.

Well it certainly has been a while, has it not? With settling into university and living somewhere completely different my blog has taken a back seat. I have also been having a few problems with my laptop so even when I have wanted to blog, I haven't been able to *cries* I've come home for the weekend so I thought I'd make use of my dads laptop and do some blogging, so here we go!

I have never been the biggest fan of boohoo they've never really taken my interest, so when my mum told me she had ordered a few bits from their website I wasn't really sure what to expect. Luckily my mum has great taste in clothes and I was pleasantly surprised! The quality of the clothing is excellent for the price (when browsing I didn't see anything more expensive than £20). I thought I'd make a little wishlist of some of the clothes I'm loving in case, like me, you were also in the dark about boohoo. I will  probably definitely have to purchase the fisherman jumper dupe as it is beautiful!

What online websites do you love?

Soap and Glory Smoothie Star Body Lotion.

Soap and Glory Smoothie Star Body Lotion- Boots £10 (link here)

Soap and Glory products have always been a firm favourite of mine so when my current body lotion ran out I thought I'd treat myself. I chose the Smoothie Star body lotion as it claimed to have an almond, oat and brown sugar scent which to me sounded delicious (it's a shame you can't eat it) There always seems to be a deal on Soap and Glory products so I also picked up a shower gel which I'm yet to try.

The lotion itself is quite thick and I was worried it may take ages to sink into my skin, but to my surprise once I'd applied it, the lotion had dried within around 30 seconds (no more flapping my arms around in an attempt to dry them for me!) it made my skin feel silky soft and got rid of any dry patches I had. However my favourite part of this product is of course the scent, it reminds me of flapjack! I think this may be my favourite Soap and Glory scent, which is a bold statement for me to make seen as I had a long love affair with the Sugar Crush products.

What is your favourite Soap and Glory Product?

p.s as my posts are scheduled when you're reading this I will have moved to Sunderland for university so from here on my posts may not be so regular until I have settled in a little. But worry not, I will have plenty of Freshers outfits to show you all!

Perfect Autumn Boots

Perfect Autumn Boots

Top L-R: Topshop (link here) and ASOS (link here)
Bottom L-R: River Island (link here) and Topshop (link here)
As Autumn sets in I find myself looking for new statement pieces to take me through the colder months. A new pair of ankle boots is something that I'm always looking out for as a girl can never have too many ankle boots right? The four above are my current favourites and are all around the £40-£60 mark, which isn't cheap (hello student loan) but it's a realistic price for a boot that's going to last you through the winter.

What's your favourite style of boot for the winter?

I slap the water and watch, the fish dance to the ripples of us.

I apologise for the rubbish photos but these were taken with poor lighting and in between my brother's game of FIFA (I bully him into being my photographer) but I had to show you this wonderful shirt I found in Primark the other day, I'm not a massive Primark fan whenever I go in I can never find anything I like but this little beauty just had to be mine! I teamed it with a plain black skirt to make it a little girlier (is that even a word?) but it would look just as great with some jeans or trousers. I rediscovered these wonderful brogues in the back of my wardrobe whilst clearing it out, that may be a little bold for everyone's taste but I love them so much, however they are so uncomfortable *cries*

Does anyone know how to stop shoes giving you blisters? Because I'd love to wear these more they just rip my feet apart.

Top 3 Autumn/Winter Lipsticks.

Left to right: Rimmel Kate Moss lasting finish lipstick in 107, Rimmel Apocalips in Celestial and Rimmel Kate Moss lasting finish lipstick in 05

Rimmel Kate Moss lasting finish lipstick in 05 £5.49

Rimmel Apocalips in Celestial £6.49

Rimmel Kate Moss lasting finish lipstick in 107 £5.49

During the colder months the bright lipsticks are left unloved and the neutral pinks and dark reds/purples come out to play and these three are definitely the ones that I know I will reach for the most. When it came to writing this post I realised they were all Rimmel products (oops) but they are a great quality with a small price tag!

The Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 05 is a dark plum/pink colour that looks quite natural when applied. It has a staying power of around 3/4 hours and is quite moisturising on my lips. In the colder months my lips become quite dry, this lipstick keeps my lips moisturised and does not leave them feeling dry at all.

Many people went crazy over the Rimmel Apocalips in general when they first came out so of course I had to give them a try. I bought the shade Celestial as it is a classic pink shade that would work for everyday looks. Although I did not like the formula at first (it felt weird on my lips) I have now become used to it. The formula is great on days when my lips are extremely dry as the gloss does not cling to the dry patches on my lips.

My favourite Autumn shade is definitely the Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 107 the berry red shade is perfect for the colder months and I think it suits my pale skin tone perfectly! The high pigmentation makes this product easy to use as with one application the lipstick is even across your lips and you're ready to go, it also has an excellent staying power of around 5 hours which is great when you're lazy at reapplying!
