Well it certainly has been a while, has it not? With settling into university and living somewhere completely different my blog has taken a back seat. I have also been having a few problems with my laptop so even when I have wanted to blog, I haven't been able to *cries* I've come home for the weekend so I thought I'd make use of my dads laptop and do some blogging, so here we go!

I have never been the biggest fan of boohoo they've never really taken my interest, so when my mum told me she had ordered a few bits from their website I wasn't really sure what to expect. Luckily my mum has great taste in clothes and I was pleasantly surprised! The quality of the clothing is excellent for the price (when browsing I didn't see anything more expensive than £20). I thought I'd make a little wishlist of some of the clothes I'm loving in case, like me, you were also in the dark about boohoo. I will  probably definitely have to purchase the fisherman jumper dupe as it is beautiful!

Perfect Autumn Boots

As Autumn sets in I find myself looking for new statement pieces to take me through the colder months. A new pair of ankle boots is something that I'm always looking out for as a girl can never have too many ankle boots right? The four above are my current favourites and are all around the £40-£60 mark, which isn't cheap (hello student loan) but it's a realistic price for a boot that's going to last you through the winter.

It seems that whenever I come to take an OOTD post my dog becomes a massive poser and wants to join in on the fun, he's such a cutie! I have been looking for a 'grown up' bag for when I move to university and originally had my heart set on the Zara city bag, but with such a hefty price tag I decided to look elsewhere this is when I spotted this lovely bag from H&M and I could not resist adding this top to my online order as it was ridiculously cheap. When my bag finally arrived (H&M delivery is not the best) I was disappointed at the size, it looked much bigger online and when I tried to fit my university supplies into the bag they wouldn't fit. However by then I'd completely fallen in love with the style of the bag so I decided it could be an 'everyday' bag (a good justification, right?)

This outfit is a very casual everyday look which I know will come in handy on those lazy mornings where you can't be bothered to think of an elaborate outfit for the day. Teamed with my trusty easy jeans and white t-bar shoes, it keeps my outfit extremely monochrome but that never hurt anybody right?

Autumn Necessities.

Autumn is here and what better way to celebrate than lusting after new bits and pieces!

This lovely coat from H&M (link here) is definitely what I am going to be yearing after this Autumn/Winter, I love the fake fur collar and the side zip. I think this coat would look great over pretty dresses and the navy colour means that the coat will go with loads of different outfits.

The angora jumper from Topshop (link here) wouldn't be my usual choice as I usually hate the colour pink, but I really like this. However if you prefer a different colour Topshop stock a number of different pastel shades in this style, as Autumn is usually associated with darker tones this pink jumper is a great way to add a bit of colour into your wardrobe.

I think I have found love in this tartan dress from River Island (link here), so much so that I've already snapped it up! Tartan seems to be everywhere lately so what better time to treat myself to this tartan beauty? However when I posted this on instagram a couple of people said that it is an oversized fitting, so if you do not like that style I would suggest getting a size down.

After spending way too long lusting after Lady Danger by MAC (link here) I might have to make it my choice of lipstick for Autumn. I think that a bright coral red would brighten up those miserable Autumn mornings, but I may also have to purchase Plumful as well. A girl can never have too many lipsticks, right?

Boots are the perfect way to keep your feet warm in the colder months and these brogue style boots from Office sure are beautiful (link here) I can imagine these looking great with thick woolly tights and a pretty smock dress.

I love this cute little pom pom beanie from ASOS (link here) for me a hat is a must for Autumn/Winter as I am the coldest person in the world. This cream coloured hat would look great with the dress, someone needs to stop me before I make another purchase my bank balance can not handle it...

Finally this gold chain necklace, also from ASOS (link here) is great to add to a outfit. The chunky style would look great paired with a plain top or dress, throughout the seasons.

Now that it is in between the stages of Summer and Autumn transitional pieces are key for the unpredictable weather and what is better than a jersey smock dress to guide you through? (the answer is nothing) They are cool enough to wear on their own with bare legs when the weather has been as wonderful as it has been these past couple of days and it will also be perfect for when the temperature drops as it can be paired with a leather jacket and woolly tights. This particular dress is from Topshop a couple of years ago, but jersey dresses can be found in many high street shops or websites such as this lovely one from ASOS (link here)

As the dress is rather plain I've teamed it with my favourite gold statement necklace and red satchel bag to add a bit of colour. Satchel bags are great for college and university and my trust red one will be glued on my shoulder when I'm going to university as it is a great size to fit all my folders in.
